Stonehenge of Thailand

Huai Mak Daeng

At some point, we wanted to visit the waterfall in Tat Ton national park (which is basically the back yard of the village), the restaurant by the lake, and Mor Hin Khao (also dubbed "the Stonehenge of Thailand"). At least, we did one of the three. The stones are natural rock formations near the top of the plateau.

We took the new, paved road up and the narrow winding dirt road back home. I prefer the country side, but the back seat drivers didn't appreciate the bumpy ride quite as much.
