Time to go

The big day has arrived! We still need to prepare movies on the ipad, recharge most of our electronic equipment, take out the trash and who knows what, but Astrid has done a heroic job packing, so I think we're pretty much ready to go.

Emi and her friend Olivia had agreed that they were both going, so I'm afraid they might experience some disappointment. Hopefully, keeping in touch with kindergarten through weekly mail correspondence will shorten the precepted distance between them. Last week, we paid a visit to Kaia, another good friend of Emi, who just spent three months in Malaysia with her family, including her baby brother who is around Fam's age. They had a great time, so we've got our hopes up.
